Keith Mallett is a native born Pennsylvania artist. He was educated in New York City at Art Students League and Hunter College. Many of his paintings are focused on human subjects although he also has a great deal that feature flowers. Mallet’s paints mainly with a modern sort of abstract style. He tends to focus on the bigger picture and allow the observer to use their imagination to fill in the smaller details. Working greatly with a warm palate his paintings are often accented with bright white in small and unexpected places. Mallett has numerous great accomplishments including being chosen to design the official limited edition print commemorating the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s historic breakthrough into major league baseball and also designing the cover of “Chicken Soup for the African American Soul”.
