Kellar Mahaney Canvas Art
Kellar Mahaney is an award-winning professional artist who maintains a painting studio and assists with the Kellar Mahaney Gallery in the artistic village of Zionsville, Indiana just North of Indianapolis. Her contemporary acrylic canvases are in the abstract expressionist style, depicting landscapes and florals with vibrant color and solid design. “I believe in color, energetic brush strokes and experimentation. Painting the breath-taking sight of a row of cosmos swaying in the breeze gives me such joy, and I hope that joy translates to the viewer” says the artist.
Mahaney earned a BFA from Wittenberg University and a Masters of Art Degree in Studio Painting from The Ohio State University. Later married with two young children, Lolly and Jackson, she and her husband, Jack, moved to Zionsville where Mahaney founded and developed Munce Art Center, now known as the SullivanMunce Cultural Center. In 2001 she returned to a new studio painting full time.
